I was 22 when I went on my first internship at a foreign bank in Karachi. My first work experience in the corporate world was of a pervert boss who would pass sexual remarks at me in front of the entire floor. He did get some giggles.

Yesterday was horrible... The news of Malala Yusafzai- the girl who opened the doors of education for Swat girl, being shot was devastating. My heart ached for the poor kid… All day a question kept haunting me that what kind of people feel a murderous rage against a 14-year-old girl who simply wants to be educated?!! Malala did nothing wrong except for following her dreams and standing against the forced tyranny and becoming the voice of many unheard. She reinforced my faith in the power of word. She made me believe that how can words change one’s fate.
