Terms of Reference for the position of “Graphic Designer” with Bytes for All, Pakistan
Location: Based in Islamabad
Position: Graphic Designer
Bytes for All (B4A), Pakistan is a human rights organization with a focus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It experiments and organizes debate on the relevance of ICTs for sustainable development and strengthening human rights movements in the country.
PakVotes2013 is a unique pioneering project led by B4A, which aims to improve the participation of the citizens in Pakistan’s electoral process by promoting inclusion, ensuring openness and provision of information, using social media & information and communication technologies.
Responsibilities:
• An artist with creative ideas and know computer software to generate new images;
• Draw and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork;
• Produce still and animated graphics for news broadcasts;
• Be able to edit raw videos for uploading on the websites;
• Submit a detailed weekly report to Project Director.
Eligibility:
• University Graduate with strong visual and aesthetic sense
• Excellent knowledge of visualization for advocacy of nonprofit initiatives
• Good organizational and communications skills;
• Ability to work independently and remotely;
• Fluent in English with excellent grammatical and formatting skills
• Strong computer skills;
Duration : 5 Months

Terms of Reference for “Internship” with Bytes for All, Pakistan
Location: Based in Islamabad
Position: Intern (Stipend will be paid)
Bytes for All (B4A), Pakistan is a human rights organization with a focus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It experiments and organizes debate on the relevance of ICTs for sustainable development and strengthening human rights movements in the country.
PakVotes2013 is a unique pioneering project led by B4A, which aims to improve the participation of the citizens in Pakistan’s electoral process by promoting inclusion, ensuring openness and provision of information, using social media & information and communication technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Work with PakVotes Project Team on day to day tasks as assigned by the project director;
• Assist in updating website content and social media interfaces;
• Help in events management; and
• Submit a detailed lessons sharing report to their supervisor at the end of their internship.
Eligibility:
• Interns will be young researchers, university students or students approaching to the end of their academic program or fresh graduates;
• No prior work experience needed;
• Good organizational and communications skills;
• Quick learners with keen nose for information;
• Ability to work independently;
• Creative, highly motivated and comfortable working on diverse issues;
• Fluent in English – Knowledge of other regional languages will be an asset; and
• Excellent knowledge of computers, Internet, Internet based research and Social Media tools.
Duration: 3-5 Months
